Alison L. Randall
I knew I wanted to be an author when I was nine years old. That was when I stapled a stack of paper down the spine and announced to my older brother that I was going to write a book. I've been writing ever since.
Many of my published stories are based on my rich family history. I grew up hearing tales about my grandfather and his mischievous cousin, and I loved listening to my grandmother's stories of her young life in England. The Wheat Doll is also based on a real event, but it was my friend's ancestor who experienced the amazing surprise that inspired me (with her permission) to write that book.
When I'm not writing, I like to travel, hike, try out new recipes, and play board games with my family.
